Club Meeting Minutes
Hastings SnoMos
November 7, 2007

The November Club Meeting of the Hastings SnoMos was brought to order by President DeDe Truhler at the Eagles Hall in Hastings. There were 38 members present with 0 new members.

The secretary’s report was read and approved.

The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Old Business:

Dues – Membership dues are now due. The membership incentive was restated.

Trails – Sign making at the Frandrup Farm on Thursday, November 15th at 6:00 pm. New signs have been received. The tracks will be put on the tractor after disking is complete. Disking can begin as soon as fields are available.

Dakota Trails –An Appreciation Supper for trail workers & significant others at Castle Rock on December 1st. Contact Jay for more details. Many of the Dakota County trails have been designated as State Trails and will received new numbering and signs. Map work is in process and the 1st draft should be done by November 14th, with new maps available after December 1st. Advertisers are needed and should contact the Schaak’s at 507-263-4482.

200 Club – There are still 28 tickets available to be sold – all tickets must be turned in before the drawing at the December meeting.

Safety Training – Bruce Kuchnicki and Pam Niebur attended the Instructor training class at the MnUSA Fall Workshop in Plymouth. Bruce stated his concern for passing the background check.

Club Trip 2008 – Discussion was held on where to go – McGregor was chosen unanimously. Tentative date is February 15 – 17 – Presidents Weekend.

Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup – Was held on Tuesday, October 9th. Thank you to everyone who helped – especially Stuart Wierke, who arrived over an hour early and got to work on his own.

Christmas Party - December 2nd from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Eagles. Please sign your kids/grandkids up with Joe & Lavenna as soon as possible, deadline is the day after Thanksgiving. There will also be an email link for them on the Club’s website. Pop will be provided by the Club, bring a dish to pass.


New Business

Vintage Show & Ride – February 23rd 12:00 pm, Ride at 1:00. Discussion will be held at the Board meeting regarding holding a Swap Meet at the event.

Northland 300 Ride – Brian Schaack is riding again this year with all proceeds going to the MN Special Olympics. He is selling $5 raffle tickets.

MnUSA – The club is in need of someone to represent us at the Region 6 Meetings. See DeDe if you are interested.

Pot-O-Gold –the November drawing for $50 was won by Greg & Patty Donatell. The December drawing will be $25.

Board Meeting – The November Board meeting will be held at 7:30 on November 27th at King’s in Miesville. Club members are welcome to attend.
