January 25, 2007

The January 25th Board Meeting was held at the House of Coates and was called to order by President DeDe Truhler.

 The following club members were present:

The secretary’s report was read and approved.

The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Old Business:

Vintage Ride & Show – Discussion was held on committee assignments for the event.  A motion was made by Mark Peine, second by Bryan Alpaugh to issue a check to Dakota Trails for the insurance premium to cover club events – approx. $200.  Motion passed.

Fun Run – The deadline will be February 4^th to determine a go/no go for the event.

Club Trip 2007 – Due to snow conditions, the banquet arrangements have been placed on hold. 

New Business:

Membership - A letter is being prepared to send to members to ”please pay your dues”.

Dakota County Trails – There is a supper for all trail workers & significant others on April 21^st at the House of Coates at 5:00.  Please RSVP to Jay.

Trails – The groomer has not been used yet this year. 

Elections – Discussion was held on upcoming elections and open board positions.

Bad Boyz Radar Run – A signup sheet will be passed at the February club meeting to determine if the club will set up a food booth at the event on Sunday, February 18^th.  Chad Watterud will chair the event at Tanners Lake.

December 14, 2006

The December 14th Board Meeting was held at Wiederholt’s and was called to order by President DeDe Truhler.

The treasurer’s report was not available.

Old Business:

Youth Snowmobile Safety Training – 65 Students are in the class with the last class on Saturday the 16^th at the Union Hall in Vermillion.  Riding test will most likely be postponed.  The Hastings Star Gazette interviewed Chris Hogan for an upcoming article in the paper.

Vintage Ride & Show –February 10, 2007 at the Frandrup Farm – Posters will be available at next Club meeting.

Fun Run –February 11, 2007– Posters will be available at next Club meeting.

Club Trip 2007 –February 23 – 25^th at the AmericInn in Virginia.  As of tonight there were 11 rooms available.

Minnesota Veterans Home – A check in the amount of $178 will be given to the Vets Home.

Christmas Party – The party will be on Sunday, December 16^th, following Safety Training at the Hall in Vermillion.  Joe & Lavenna White have completed the gift shopping.

New Business:

200 Club – Lisa Beskau & Mark Peine will be the chairpersons for next year and will be implementing a change in the format.
